Meet the artist ~
Born June 11, 1988 in Amherst, NY, Neda grew up in the Buffalo, New York in a creative household. Her mother worked on a variety of projects including painting murals in the home, sewing costumes and other clothing and custom painting china lamps for clients. Her father is an architect who enjoys design and painting landscapes and portraits. Surrounded by talented artists, her interest in all forms of art and design peaked at an early age.
Ever since she could pick up a pencil or brush she has been creating works of art. Beginning with forms of art such as drawing and painting, sculpting and more, she branched out to other creative endeavors. She learned the basics of sewing in her middle school Home Economic course and taught herself new techniques from there by making herself all sorts of clothing from everyday dresses and outfits to corsets and Halloween costumes. When she started taking belly dance lessons, she began to craft her own custom ensembles for her dance performances as well. She began taking commissions from her friends to make them custom fitting outfits for special occasions and custom Halloween costumes of their own!
As her interests began to grow and develop, she started to play with making jewelry. Because of her love of crystals and desire to carry other loved objects with her, she began to explore the facets of using wiring techniques to make beautiful jewelry with custom wire wrapping designs. From there she also took it upon herself to teach herself the art of chainmail and creating unique chainmail necklaces and bracelets.
As her father began to teach her the art of construction and remodeling old buildings, her love of interior design also began to take off. After renovating several locations with her father, including rebuilding an apartment from scratch that had been ruined from a fire and transforming a workshop into a storefront. From flooring to drywalling, she enjoys using her knowledge of renovations and her creative expertise to bring out the best functionality in a space while still making it beautiful. She is currently working on updating her own home and bringing new life to the place which had character, but not a lot of practicality..
